Charity – Virtue of the Week

Charity – Virtue of the Week

15-21 August 2016

Charity – Characteristic / Virtue of the Week

Be the change you wish to see in the world – make a difference.

Charity

How to practice Charity:

  • Be aware of your thoughts and when you are judging others – strive to be respectful and accepting of their situation. Everyone has a story and we’re all on our own spiritual journey.
  • Remember that charity includes being kind to yourself – are you being kind in your words to yourself and expectations of self? Would you say the same things and have the same expectations of others that you do for yourself?
  • Do something charitable every day this week – small things matter – kind words and kind deeds. Make a difference in someone’s life every day – a smile and kind word can be given freely and can be extremely meaningful.

How to use this card:

Being mindful of a virtue each day will change your world and ours.

  • Read this card each morning.
  • At the end of each day take five minutes to reflect on your behaviour in regard to this virtue.
  • Acknowledge yourself for how you displayed this virtue, or if you had the opportunity to practice the virtue and didn’t, then ask yourself what you would do differently next time – use it as a learning.
  • You will find that over time you become much more in control of your feelings & emotions and grow emotionally, intellectually & spiritually stronger day by day.
