Empathy – Characteristic / Virtue of the Week
Be the best version of yourself you can be – someone is looking up to you.
Ways of practicising Empathy:
- Stop. Think about your situation from the other person’s perspective. Then respond – from the heart.
- Listen. To listen you need to be silent. Listen with an open heart & mind. Be aware of when you stop listening and start judging.
- Treat everyone as if they were the person who meant the world to you.
How to use this card:
Being mindful of a virtue each day will change your world and ours.
- Read this card each morning.
- At the end of each day take five minutes to reflect on your actions in regard to this virtue.
- Acknowledge yourself for how you displayed this virtue, or if you had the opportunity to practice the virtue and didn’t, then ask yourself what you would do differently next time – use it as a learning.
- You will find that over time you become much more in control of your feelings & emotions and grow emotionally, intellectually & spiritually stronger day by day.
