Appreciation

Seeing the good in life

Have you ever taken a moment to appreciate the good things in your life?

Appreciation is all about seeing the positive side of things, whether it’s people, possessions, situations, or experiences.

It’s about feeling grateful for what you have, even when things aren’t going exactly as planned.

Teaching children about appreciation is so important because it helps them to grow into kind, thoughtful human beings.

By teaching your child to appreciate what they have, they’ll learn to understand the value of the things they have, both big and small.

Here’s 3 ways you can help your child express appreciation:

1. Saying ‘thank you’ when someone gives them a compliment or gift

2. Teach them to express what they are grateful for
3. Sharing a drawing, toy or hug with someone they want to share with

Think about it – when you appreciate something, you get that warm, fuzzy feeling in your stomach. You feel happy and content with your life, even if it’s just for a moment.

That’s how I feel right now. I appreciate that my car got me to where I wanted to go safely, the opportunity to have enjoyed a walk along the beach, and the smell of sea, sand and air.

Life is amazing when you appreciate the little things in life, like the aroma of fresh vegetables roasting in the oven or a surprise piece of chocolate.

And the best part is, the more you appreciate the good things in life, the more good things come your way. It’s called the Law of Attraction, and it’s a powerful force.

Teaching your child to express appreciation is easy and fun. You can start by encouraging them to say “thank you” when someone gives them a compliment or a gift.

You can also teach them to express what they are grateful for or to share a drawing, toy, or hug with someone they care about.

By teaching your child appreciation, you’re setting them up for success in the future.

They’ll be better equipped to build strong relationships with friends, partners, and colleagues. And as they grow into adults, they’ll have a positive impact on the world around them.

If you want to teach your child more values like appreciation, I invite you to join my private Facebook group, “Raising Kids With Integrity.”

Each week, I share a new character trait that you can teach your child to help them develop into thoughtful, caring adults. Together, we can raise the next generation of leaders, managers, CEOs, and thought leaders.
