Assertiveness

Teaching your child to be assertive helps them to speak their truth with confidence.

It’s also important to help your child understand that everybody has a different perspective and it’s important to be respectful of everyone’s opinion.
As you focus on a character every week your child will become more aware of who they are and who they want to be. They’ll be more confident in their daily choices and actions.
They’ll be able to discern who they are and who they want to be.
As your child grows they’ll get to make choices of their own in regard to how they allow themselves, and others, to be treated; what they wish to put into their body; decisions regarding about who they’ll allow to touch their body and when.

Until they are comfortable with their decisions you need to know they are assertive enough to stand up for themselves when you are not around.
