Courage transforms from within

Courage transforms from within

Mind over matter

Courage transforms from within. When feeling a sense of fear, it’s up to you whether you choose to let your emotions control you or take the necessary action to overcome your fear and do it anyway.
Deciding to take control of your life by not allowing fear to rule, means that you choose to live life on your terms.
Emotions are feelings, they are not you, they are a part of you. Emotions change all the time because they are controlled by other parts of you.

Does it serve you?

People are complex and want you to take action according to their wants and needs. So always ask yourself these questions.
Ask yourself do they have my best interests at heart? Will this serve me, either now or in the future?
How will I benefit from taking a particular action? How will my life be impacted?

Following the leader

You have a brain. It functions quite well. Use it to think for yourself.
Too many people blindly follow the leader and get caught up in someone else’s stuff.
Live with integrity and have the courage to stand alone if needed. Remember, you’ve got it within you, courage transforms from within.

For Children

Ways to help children.

Being friendly – teach them to be kind to others. There is no reason they can’t smile and say hello to anyone. A smile costs nothing and is a small way to practice courage if they feel shy. This also teaches courtesy.
Thinking for themselves – discuss how some people learn prejudices while others learn acceptance and respect. It takes courage to speak up against injustices they see done to others and it is needed if we want things to be different (better).
Growing & learning – every day we grow and learn in different ways and that we will always want to do things outside our comfort zone and it takes courage and confidence to try new things.
