Honour

Honour involves so much. It’s about treating people well, honouring who they are and who they want to be.

It’s taking responsibility for things when you do something you’re not proud of. Making amends – which sometimes involves forgiving yourself.

It’s living by your highest values and adhering to what’s right regardless of what others say.

Are you sharing the character trait of the week and discussing them with your child so you know where their head is at and who has influence over them?

Are you discussing with your child options to consider and realising that their brain is still developing and that it’s important to explain things patiently to your child so that they have the confidence in themselves to stand up for what they know to be right and true and honour their own selves?
