Hope – gets you through

Regardless of what is going on in your life, hope keeps you going. When life is going well you have plans, goals and dreams for your future. Hope is an essential emotion when coping with rough and tough times in life.

When you want things to be different from what they are now, you need to take action. Nothing stays the same, therefore everything changes.

Everything in life changes constantly. Your situation, attitudes and thoughts, to name a few. Anything and everything changes. All the time. For better or worse. What direction do you want to take?

Hope is the light

When life is tough, it’s hard to remember that it too will pass. The difficulty is in knowing when and where things will change for the better.

Sometimes it seems that you’ll never get out the negative, vicious cycle you find yourself in. But then you realise you can change that.

You have the power within. You control your thoughts, make them positive. Another thing you get to decide is your attitude, think positive. Lastly, take action to change things up.

Hope gets you through

Hope will get you through. When you decide what you want to change, then take the next best step that leads in that direction. Do not hesitate.

The sooner you take the next step, the sooner you will get to where you want to go. There’s a saying that whether you think you can, or whether you think you can’t, you’re right. For this reason, make sure you focus on what you want and the ‘how’ will come to you.

It’s also said that ‘everything you can imagine is possible’. Whatever wonderful thoughts are in your head just work towards them, head in that direction. Take one step at a time and never give up.

That’s how we achieve what we want in life, whether it be big or small, just for you or for the whole world. Planes that fly in the air, ships that float on water, mobile telephones – they all started with an idea and the hope that it could be created. What do you hope for?

PARENTING TIPS

1. Let your child know they have all different emotions inside their body and that hope is a great one to have. Let them know that hope is something they’ll use at different times in their life.

2. Ask your child to name 3 things that they hope for – ask them to pick the main one and discuss what they could do to help change the situation.

3. Discuss with your child how they have the power to change things for the better, and hope is used to improve situations. Hope can be used to improve things and situations. This can be when things are good and they want to improve it and when things aren’t so good. Let them know the power is inside them.
