Joyfulness – an added spark

Joy gives you wings

Joyfulness adds a spark to life. What brings you joy in your life? How much of what brings you joy is in your life?

Just the thought of joy adds a spark in your step and your thoughts. You feel happy by having a positive thought.

Thoughts, alone, keep you moving forward. Thoughts impact on your future actions and inactions. You have the power to change your thoughts whenever they are not serving you.

Put some joyfulness in your life. Do something that you enjoy doing. Spend time with people whose company you enjoy.

Sit in the sun and soak in the warm rays of sunlight upon your body. Close your eyes and breathe the fresh air deep into your lungs. 

Joyfulness is a feeling

Everyone is different and we all enjoy different things, for some people being around others brings them joy. Others prefer to spend time alone and read a book.

You need to take time out to spend on yourself because when you do you have an added spark to your step and can then help others in the way you want to.

Think of why you love yourself. This can be challenging for so many people but it is important to love yourself as going throughout life not loving yourself is too hard.

After all, you can’t run or hide from yourself. You might be able to with everybody else but this is one person you can’t escape from.

So learn to love yourself and if you are having a hard time doing so ask your friends what your strengths are and look at yourself from their perspective. Start there.

How to put joyfulness into your life

Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts. You can’t have both a positive and a negative thought at the same time.

Seek out inspiring quotes and reflect on what they mean to you and remember that we can all read the same thing and it can have a different meaning for every person.

Write down a list of what brings you joy and then consider how often you bring that joy into your life. How often do you want to? How often will you?

Make a list of things you want to do that bring you joy that you hadn’t considered before. Visualise it happening, and keep visualising until it happens. That’s you helping the law of attraction bring it into your life.

Basically, you’re in control. Replace negative thoughts with positive ones, replace negative actions with positive ones. Think positive, be positive, do positive and see what happens for you. Add a spark – add joyfulness.

Tips for raising kids
  • Dinner time – ask your child what their favourite meal is (it sometimes changes) and cook it for dinner – together if you’re game!
  • Play – with your child – let them choose the game
  • Ask – your child what brings them joy – you might be surprised – get them to make a list of 5 things and work your way through their list during this month.
