Love

This week it’s all about love!

It’s easy to love when things are going great. That was my first thought when I saw what the character of the week was (I select in advance when it feels ‘right’). Actually, my first thought was I don’t love my body at the moment.

It’s important to teach our children to love their bodies, they’re unique, just like their fingerprint. All of us go through times when we don’t love our bodies. It’s important that it isn’t because we’re comparing our body to someone else’s.

Our bodies are our temples as they say. The reason I’m not loving my body at the moment is that it’s decided to give me the experience of ‘shingles’ so it is not that I’m comparing it to anyone else, just myself. I’m so appreciative that I’m healthy – normally.

What do you love about your body? What does your child love about theirs? Always look for the positive because it’s always there.
