Passion – Passion Drives You

Passion provides purpose

Everyone is passionate about something or someone. Passion drives you to get up in the morning and helps you to get on with your day to feel more connected to whatever it is your heart desires. When we have a passion, we find purpose. Purpose makes life worth living as it provides a sense of achievement at the end of the day. People are either people-driven or task-driven. You largely spend time with people or take action to complete an important task or two. Or both.

A life of purpose

We all have goals we want to achieve. For some, it is about relationships while others are on a mission to change or create something that will make a difference in our world. When you feel like you don’t have a purpose that’s OK, follow your heart and your instincts. You will discover one day when you look back with hindsight, that you were on the pathway that leads you there, wherever there is.

Time is irrelevant

There is no specific age where you suddenly end up having an enlightened moment where you suddenly discover your life’s purpose. For some people, it’s easy to tell what their passion might be, for example, a child who is great with animals; or a child that wants to play teacher all the time with friends. As individuals, we have many purposes and the change, just like we do.

It’s important at every age to have something purposeful that you are passionate about so we avoid a feeling of meaninglessness.

Follow your heart

Change is a constant in life. As we learn more we change, our thoughts turn, our ideas change, our body changes all the time as we grow older, we don’t notice it, but those who haven’t seen us for many years do. Follow your heart, as long as your intentions are pure, and the universe will guide you to live a meaningful life that brings you joy.

The balance of passion

Be mindful of whether you are people-driven or task-driven. Many task-driven people strive to create or change things for the betterment of humanity so that the outcome helps make the world a better place. People help people. Consequently, people benefit regardless of a passion being task or people-driven, and it is important to ensure there is a balance so that there is a maximum benefit.

Whether you have found your passion; whether you are on the pathway that leads you there; whether you are a tour guide that shows others how to find their way; whether you know your purpose yet or not it doesn’t really matter. What matters is open your heart and mind and be mindful of how you treat others and allow that to be your purpose – be kind, be kind, be kind.

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from

focussing on what excites you.”

– Oprah Winfrey
