Perseverance – keep at it

Perseverance gets you through

Perseverance is when you are on a mission to achieve something and keep at it so you can achieve, or complete your goal.

Keeping at it will help you overcome it, then you will feel happy and content within yourself for doing so.

Perseverance takes on many forms and is also used to give up negative habits. The best way to do that is to replace a negative habit with a positive one. Toss the negative thought on its head.

Characteristics have friends

Perseverance has a bunch of friends that help you get to where you want to go. Wisdom is used to decide whether your goal drives your life purpose, which is long term, or whether your goal is short term.

Hope, faith and self-discipline are friends of goals that include the purpose of life. Determination, commitment and strength help you overcome negative habits that prevent you from not achieving your goals.

Whatever your reason for achieving your goal, it impacts how you feel about yourself, so keep at it and don’t give up on yourself. Everything takes time, effort and tolerance. Have you heard of the saying ‘get out of your own way’? The only thing standing in your way is might be you.

Finishing the job

By completing a goal that you have set yourself, you feel good about yourself. Additionally, you are then inspired to take further action.

You will discover that you can do anything you want to. All that you need to do is keep at it.

You discover that you do have the will to overcome whatever it is you wanted to and feel proud of yourself, and so you should. It is said that if you can see it in your mind it can become a reality. You can achieve whatever you want to. What’s the next step you need to take? Get going.

Small acts when multiplied by millions of people can transform the world

  • Lifelong learners – teach them that we all learning throughout our entire lives and we learn different things according to our level of interest in the topic. This creates a growth mindset.
  • The power of yet – If there is something they want to learn they can do it. Keep telling themselves they can learn it until they learn it they just haven’t ‘yet’.
  • Accomplishment – Discuss how they feel about themselves when they achieve a task – eg. tying shoelaces, taking care of a sibling or pet, being responsible by completing their homework.
