Prayerfulness – it’s all about connection

Prayerfulness – it’s all about connection

What is prayerfulness?

As the card states, it is all about connecting with a power greater than ourselves. Living with gratitude, being aware of your actions and how your behaviour impacts yourself and others. While meditating or taking time out for reflection, listen to the answers within.

Attracts, repels or gains your curiosity?

OK, so this topic either attracts you, repels you or you’re reading because you’re curious about what I’ve got to share with you. I’ve got to admit that I wasn’t too keen on writing about this topic, but because I take time out at the beginning of each year to select which character cards I’ll be blogging about for the next 52 weeks, I trust whatever comes up.

Personal or cultural?

Some cultures treat religion as a personal thing. Some cultures are very aligned with a particular religion and will bully their citizens into having beliefs enforced by the government; otherwise, there are unpleasant consequences. Consequently, even though these actions are a sign of control, power and ego by the supposed ‘leaders’ it does give religion a bad name.

Attraction, vibration & energy

Some people cannot imagine not believing in a higher power and that there is something out there, but as to what people refer to it as can vary a lot. Some know it as the law of attraction. Others will talk about chakras, the vibration and energy we put out and how it is all inter-related. Listening to our intuition is our hidden gift that guides us through our lives when we listen to it.

The balance of prayerfulness

Spiritual is a label that some people give themselves. People may say they are not religious, but they are spiritual. It is essential to spiritually grow because it helps with your emotional and mental well-being. You get to know yourself and in turn, start to love yourself and feel good about yourself. It is necessary to recognise when you know you could have done better. That is what growth and development are all about, so don’t be hard on yourself or anyone else as we are all at different stages from each other, remember it is all about connection so – always be kind, be kind, be kind.
