Purposefulness – have a reason

What is purposefulness?

Purposefulness gives you a reason to get out of bed and get on with your day. It is having a goal or an aim in your mind of what you want to do that day. It could be big or small. It could be something that involves others or something you want to do on your own.

Purposefulness served with passion

When you have something in mind you awake and, if you are passionate about achieving your purpose, you will do so, regardless of whether it can be done in a day or over several days in small sections. If you have a reason and you feel strongly about your cause your mind won’t let you forget it.

Groundhog day

When a thought keeps coming to your mind, and it is an idea that would benefit you and, or others, you feel that it is your purpose, and responsibility, to take the necessary action. Alternatively, if you do not make progress, it feels a bit like groundhog day, the day changes, but the thought in your head doesn’t change.

Moving forward

People do not take action when they feel a little overwhelmed or lost about what action to take next. Moving forward and making progress, any progress is what matters. You only need to take one step at a time, and then the next step is revealed.

The balance of purposefulness

While making progress is a beautiful thing, it is essential to have a balance in your life between work and play by taking a break. That is when other ideas come to mind, which could reveal the next step to take. Always make time for yourself and your family as often they are the reason you are passionate about achieving your purpose. Take time out for both work and play – be kind, be kind, be kind.
