28 Jun Resilience – work your way through
Building resilience
Resilience means to work your way through. You can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. But when life gets tough, challenging or difficult you must work your way through. Step by step, minute by minute if necessary.
Resilience grows stronger within you as you tackle each setback, whether it be big or small.
People have different perspectives and suggestions that will help you tackle your issues. So ask for help from others when you need it. By doing this you open the door for others to ask you for help when they need you.
Resilience deepens within
Challenges build your character and make you stronger. This is the purpose of life. Nobody has it easy all the time. Nobody.
Your spiritual growth strengthens, ready for the next challenge life throws your way.
Hindsight helps you understand how you benefitted from life challenges and difficulties. Yet, when things are tough it can be hard to trust in the process.
Life wasn’t meant to be easy
Everybody has challenges in life. We all have different challenges at different times in our life. Sometimes we have challenges we never even considered we would have.
For this reason, it is important to be understanding and non-judgemental towards others. Include yourself also as you are likely to be your biggest critic.
The more you overcome you grow in so many ways. Life is all about change and it’s the internal stuff that’s most important – how you feel and what you think. Be resilient and work your way through whatever you need to. Keep living, learning and loving
- Learning – talk to a child about what characteristic they need in order to overcome ‘it’s hard’. Tell them they can ‘do hard’.
- Challenges – speak to children about how life has different challenges for everyone and that these challenges help them to grow inside.
- Understanding – discuss how important it is to be understanding as you never know what challenges anyone is going through and that we all need help and understanding. Talk about the importance of being friendly and that just a smile or saying hello can help brighten another person’s day and that they have the power to do that.
