Thankfulness – Just Look Around

Just look around

When you’re feeling down and outlook around, and you’ll soon find something to be thankful for. Once you look around, you start to see more and more things that you are thankful for. Consequently, this impacts your emotional and mental state positively, and all it took was opening your heart and mind.

Thankfulness mindset

When you have a thankfulness mindset, you start to notice how much you have in your life that you are grateful for. You might see something mundane such as a beautiful piece of furniture, or something else you bought on holiday. Thoughts lead to other opinions such as having the time and the money to go on a holiday and the experiences you enjoyed on that trip. Maybe it includes the people you met along the way which often consists of the friendliness of a stranger who provided you with directions.

Thankful to find what you are looking for

Whatever you are looking for, you’ll find. So, strive to focus on the positive. When you look for things and people in life to be thankful for, whether they were there for you for a reason, a season or a lifetime, you’ll find it. The same applies when you look for the negative.

Contrast and division

Negativity thoughts surface when people compare themselves with others. The only person you can control is yourself, and that’s not always easy. When you find yourself comparing yourself or someone else to others, it creates division opposed to unity. Use your self-discipline to replace negative with positive thoughts.

The balance of thankfulness

While it’s great to have an attitude of gratitude, you also need to be mindful of being realistic. Take action to continually improve your situation concerning whatever area in life you want to promote. Focus on the positive and allow your thoughts to – be kind, be kind, be kind.

“Be thankful for what you have, you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
